It is safe to say the relationship between President Donald Trump and Elon Musk is all but finished. And the Epstein Files now play a prominent role in the degradation of the partnership.
In recent days, Elon Musk has been critical of President Trump over the “Big Beautiful Bill” passed by Congress. He has been open in his disagreement with the contents of the bill, but things had remained civil.
That changed Thursday when Musk and Trump began trading barbs. It began with Musk stating that Trump would not have been successful in the race for the White House in 2024 if not for Musk.
Donald Trump responded by stating that he had asked Musk to leave his position in the White House, which Musk called “an obvious lie.”
The back-and-forth continued by Trump suggesting that the federal government could cancel contracts held by companies that Elon Musk owns, like SpaceX.
While the public war of words continued, Elon Musk dropped what he called “the really big bomb.”
“(Donald Trump) is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public,” he shared on the X social media platform he owns. He concluded his message to the President by stating “Have a nice day!”
The reactions from news media members were swift. The comments from Musk was retweeted more than 100,000 in the first 45 minutes following his statement.
Some news media members argued that the comments from Musk were false and intentionally inflammatory, while others were astounded that the billionaire took the feud to that level at all.
