Earlier this year, Fox News contributor Kat Timpf announced she would be away from Gutfeld! due to her first pregnancy. That maternity leave was adjusted when she was diagnosed with cancer, but she returned this week and was excited to be back.
In February, Greg Gutfeld revealed that Timpf had given birth to a healthy baby boy. However, hours before delivery, she was diagnosed with breast cancer during a routine checkup.
She later underwent a double mastectomy in March, but had been relatively mum on what her future looked like before this week.
In her return to the Fox News late-night program, Kat Timpf shared that she is officially cancer-free.
“I’m very excited about it. It was a hard thing to go through, and it still is,” she shared.
“I still have reconstruction surgeries. I still have reconstruction surgeries,” she continued.”
She added that she still isn’t 100% sure how her cancer developed, with one theory being that her pregnancy with her first child could have been the cause. Timpf said, though, that if that is what happened, being a mother was worth it.
“I love being a mom. The way that it happened, it really was truly insane. I really had a day between the cancer diagnosis and the labor. We don’t know for sure what happened. I could have gotten cancer because I was pregnant, and even if I did, he’s still so worth it, because I love him so much.”
Timpf has been at Fox News for several years in a variety of roles. After hosting shows on FOX Nation and a Fox News Radio podcasts, she makes regular appearances on the network’s late-night show Gutfeld!.
