Connor Dunning has been named the new marketing director for Audacy’s Memphis cluster of stations after seven years with the company. According to an email sent to staff on Wednesday, the executive producer has been elevated to the position where he will be overseeing all marketing efforts, including contesting, promotions, and events for all stations.
“Connor stepped up and asked for more responsibility and he has gone above and beyond to earn this position,” said Nicole Hartman, senior vice president and market manager for Audacy Chattanooga and Memphis clusters. “I am so excited about adding some sizzle to our station promotions, new ideas to market our stations and getting back to signature events!”
Dunning has been with Audacy for the last seven years, with a small break from August of 2022 to May of 2023 to take on the SID role with Rhodes College. He returned in May of 2023 and assumed the role of executive producer of the Gabe Kuhn Show on 92.9 FM ESPN Radio in Memphis.
Previously with Audacy, Dunning served as the executive producer of Giannotto & Jeffrey, along with roles on the 92.9 FM ESPN social media marketing team. Additionally, he hosted programs on BetQL and 790 The Bet in Memphis.
Now, in his new role as marketing director, Dunning will oversee 92.9 FM ESPN, WRVR 104.5 The River, and 99.7 The Wolf in Memphis.
Moreover, Dunning will continue his ESPN role on Kuhn’s program, while also leading contesting, promotions, and events for the aforementioned Audacy stations and their clients.
