Melissa Chase, who served as VP of Programming and Brand Manager for Hot AC Mix 96.5, Adult Hits 95.7 The Spot and Country 100.3 The Bull, has exited Audacy Houston. Chase joined the team in 2021 and was promoted to VP of Programming in early 2023, expanding her role to include oversight of KILT. She also hosted PM Drive on Mix 96.5.
This move comes on the heels of Jay Michaels’ exit on Monday from his role as Assistant Brand Manager for “Mix 96.5” and “95.7 The Spot.” (BMM 6/30)
Prior to Houston, Chase spent 14 years at SummitMedia in Richmond, where she rose to the rank of OM. In 2010, she took on the role of morning host and Program Director at 103.7 Your Variety. She guided the station through multiple format evolutions: from adult alternative as The River, transitioning to Hot AC in 2013, and later rebranding to Your Variety in 2021
By 2016, she was elevated to Operations Manager with oversight for the cluster’s six radio stations.
There is no word on who will fill the role.
