ESPN has elevated Andy Green to the newly created position of Vice President, Non-Traditional Productions (NTP), placing him in charge of a rapidly expanding area that includes tens of thousands of live events across ESPN’s linear and digital platforms.
In his new role, Green will oversee the entire scope of the NTP business, including packager services and ESPN’s extensive school control room project. The promotion reflects his longtime leadership and innovation in digital and school-based productions.
“Stepping into this role is an honor that resonates deeply,” Green said. “Having been part of this journey from the very beginning, I’m proud to now lead the mission that first inspired us. I’m committed to pushing boundaries, strengthening conference relationships, and guiding a team that carries forward the vision and purpose at the core of Non-Traditional Productions.”
Green will continue to serve as a key liaison between ESPN’s college sports production team and its 26 conference partners, driving strategy for more than 29,000 live events and nearly 300 school control rooms each year. Additionally, he will lead operational planning, manage production staff, and work closely with stakeholders to expand audience reach and identify new revenue opportunities.
“Andy’s promotion is a recognition of his long-standing leadership in school and digital productions and his instrumental role in developing ESPN’s non-traditional production ecosystem,” said Meg Aronowitz, Senior Vice President, Production. “Throughout Andy’s tenure at ESPN, he has always been someone who looks to innovate and enhance, and that will serve him and his team well as we continue to grow our NTP business.”
Green brings more than two decades of experience to the role, having held multiple positions at ESPN including associate producer, graphics manager, and producer for major properties such as Major League Baseball, the NBA Draft, and college basketball. After a brief stint outside the company, he rejoined ESPN in 2014, based in the Charlotte office, where he was instrumental in the launch of SEC Network.
In 2017, Green was named senior managing producer and led the SEC school control room initiative, later expanding his oversight to include the ACC’s school control room project in 2019. He was promoted to coordinating producer in 2022.
A native of Rochester, New York, Green is a proud alumnus of Penn State University.
