DirecTV launched the platform in 2005, with Andrew Siciliano hosting the whip around coverage of the NFL. The league launched it's on NFL RedZone version in 2009 with Scott Hanson.

A quick survey of the official DirecTV twitter account on Monday shows dozens of replies to customers complaining that the service did not work for them.

"We will begin to reach out to our customers who were unable to stream some of the games on Sunday to let them know we will automatically reimburse them for (Week 2)."

"Sadly, that was the last gasp".

. Owners were being faced with the choice of having to upgrade their video systems to handle streaming video. Some are not currently equipped to do so.

"We really believe these new platforms give us the ability to innovate beyond where we are today and make the experience for our consumers so much better. It obviously makes it more available to our consumers, and particularly the younger demographic which is one we really want to get to".

"All shoulder and studio programming from Marquee will be available on DirecTV. Live Cubs and Chicago Sky games will not."

Robert Herring Sr. appeared on OAN last week and said the cable provider’s decision came as a surprise to him.

DirecTV said the decision was made “following a routine internal review,” adding that keeping OAN wasn’t a good business decision.
