Dat Nguyen has been a mainstay on ESPN San Antonio’s afternoon show with Jason Minnix for the past four years. That followed a great career playing football for the Dallas Cowboys, and at Texas A&M University.
Now, Nguyen is ready for a brand new challenge.
It was announced yesterday on ESPN San Antonio, that the former linebacker and popular radio personality is heading back to the Metroplex for an opportunity in the restaurant business. The station is hosting a farewell party for him this Thursday. Minnix confirmed the news on Facebook.
Whether Nguyen will be replaced on the show or not remains to be seen. The afternoon program has featured a three man crew starring Minnix, Nguyen, and Rob Thompson. Once we have further details to share we’ll pass them along.
