Botterill to Join MSG+’s Islanders Coverage

Jennifer Botterill will join MSG+ for New York Islanders coverage. She will serve as a studio analyst for select games this season. Her first assignment will come Tuesday night when the Islanders host the Vancouver Canucks.

Botterill is one of the most decorated women’s hockey players in Olympic history, having led Canada to gold medals in Salt Lake City, Torino, and Vancouver. She also won the 1999 women’s hockey national championship while at Harvard. She isn’t the first person to follow that exact path to Islanders’ broadcasts. Botterill’s Harvard teammate, AJ Mleczko, joined the team as a studio analyst earlier this year.

“It’s a tremendous honor to be able to cover the Islanders, one of the NHL’s iconic franchises, and work alongside the entire MSG Networks’ Islanders family,” Botterill said in a press release. She will be teamed with Shannon Hogan for pre-game and intermission analysis. Hogan is in her fifth season with the team.
