Veteran sports radio host, Marc Ryan is heading back east after accepting an Assistant Program Director and on-air position with Entercom’s ESPN Upstate in Greenville, South Carolina.
In addition to his APD role, which Ryan said is something he’s had his “eyes on for some time now,” the sports radio personality will also host ESPN Upstate’s midday show weekdays from 1 – 4pm ET. Ryan takes over for Greg McKinney who held the APD and midday host position with ESPN Upstate for five years. McKinney is retiring following a radio career spanning more than three decades.
“Can’t wait to bring my unique brand of sports radio to the Carolinas and the roughly one million people in our Greenville/Upstate market,” Ryan wrote on Twitter.
By joining ESPN Upstate Ryan stays with Entercom after spending the last two years contributing to Sports Radio 610 in Houston. As a veteran sports radio host, Ryan laid out the travels the industry has led him to embark on during the last 15 years beginning in Orlando from 2005 – 2009, Pensacola 2009 – 2012, Atlanta 2012 – 2013, Tampa 2014 – 2016, Houston 2016 – 2018 and now on to Greenville.
A debut date for Ryan with ESPN Upstate was not yet announced.
