The Fan in Indianapolis didn’t have to look far to find its new midday co-host. The station’s program director, Jeff Rickard, will take over the seat left vacant after Michael Grady announced his departure from the station on Friday. Joe Staysniak remains with the 10 am to noon show, which will be renamed Jeff and Big Joe.
Rickard has been in Indianapolis since 2015. He served as a host and executive producer at the Fan before being named program director. He has also hosted shows on ESPN Radio and Sirius XM.
Listeners won’t hear major changes to the show’s format right away. “Let’s let the show kind of find itself,” Rickard told the Indianapolis Star. “I don’t want to go in on day 1 and start forcing things.”
Michael Grady and Joe Staysniak were first paired together in 2011. Grady had been doing the show from his home in New York since 2017, when he relocated to take a job as the Brooklyn Nets sideline report for YES Network.
