NBCSN has announced that Mike Florio and Sky Sports will fill the hole left in its schedule after yesterday’s announcement that the simulcast of the Dan Patrick Show is leaving the network.
From 9-11 am Eastern NBCSN will replay Pro Football Talk Live. The show originally airs at 7 am Eastern, so this creates a four hour block of Florio and Chris Sims.
Starting at 11 am Eastern, NBCSN will air an hour of programming from Sky Sports in the UK. Sky Sports News will become a permanent fixture of the NBCSN lineup after making its debut earlier this month in a three hour special at the English Premier League’s transfer deadline.
These announcements instantly cut costs for NBCSN and it’s parent company Comcast. A replay costs nothing, and Comcast acquired Sky in Fall 2018.
