PD, Morning Host David Schultz Exits 103.7 The Game

After more than five years, David Schultz is no longer with Delta Media Corp’s 103.7 The Game in Lafayette, LA.  Schultz announced his departure Saturday, March 16th on Twitter.

Schultz was the morning host and program director of 103.7 The Game, where his show, SportsChat aired weekdays from 6 – 9am in a lineup mixed with local and network programming from CBS Sports Radio.

“I appreciated your patience as it took this ‘yankee’ a bit to get used to his surroundings,” Schultz wrote on Twitter while thanking the audience.  “I have lived throughout the United States and Acadiana has the nicest, most receptive people and the best cooks I have ever been around.  Thank you very much for bringing me into your homes, cars and phones.”

In addition to thanking the listeners, Schultz also noted Chuck Wood and Erik Tobias who hired him, his co-workers at the station and everyone that joined him on the show as a guest.  “I was honored to have you on SportsChat.  To this day, I’m still pleasantly surprised/shocked when people answer my calls at 7:17am.  I sincerely appreciate your time, insight and stories,” Schultz wrote.

Schultz joined 103.7 The Game in 2013, after spending two years away from the sports radio industry.  Prior to those two years, where he worked in the private sector, Schultz was an on-air contributor at WQAM in Miami from 2009-2011.  The radio host didn’t announce any future plans, only saying “stay tuned for whats next.”

103.7 has not made an official announcement regarding their new lineup, but Raymond Partsch III, host of The Rap Game which normally begins at 9am, will take over the station’s morning drive show this week.
