The Walt Disney Company is kicking up its traditional coverage of the NFL Draft this year. The event will be carried on both ABC and ESPN not as a simulcast, but as two distinct broadcasts for all three days.
As previously announced, the ABC broadcast will focus on player stories and will feature the cast of ESPN’s College Gameday. Robin Roberts of Good Morning America will also be featured along with Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Over on ESPN, Trey Wingo will again be in the driver’s seat. The network’s draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. will join him as the lead analyst. Others at the desk will include former NFL GM Louis Riddick and Monday Night Football analyst Booger McFarland. Todd McShay, Adam Schefter, Chris Mortenson, and Suzy Kolber will also contribute to the broadcast.
ESPN will be in Nashville for the entire week of the NFL Draft, which starts the night of April 25 and runs through the 27th. Golic and Wingo, Get Up!, First Take, NFL Live, and College GameDay will all air live draft-themed episodes that week from The Music City.
