Bill Connelly announced last week that he was leaving SB Nation. Earlier today he sent a Tweet to his followers announcing that he had landed at ESPN.
In addition to written pieces and TV and podcast appearances, ESPN will also get the S&P+ rankings from Connelly every week. Whether or not the network will put a spotlight on them the way SB Nation did remains to be seen.
Connelly made it clear in his Twitter message that he was perfectly happy with SB Nation and Vox Media. He called the jump to ESPN “about what I can potentially do at ESPN” and quipped that he “gets to write about college football for the entity that has all the college football!”.
The addition of Connelly was announced today in an ESPN press release that also noted that the network had signed Heather Dinich and Adam Rittenberg to contract extensions.
