The University of Wisconsin has extended its deal with iHeartMedia. The company’s stations will continue to be the home of the Badgers in Madison, Milwaukee, and Eau Claire for the next five years.
In Madison, News Talk 1310 WIBA and classic rocker 101.5 WIBA FM will serve as the flagship stations for football and men’s basketball. The AM station will also carry men’s hockey. Women’s volleyball, basketball, and hockey will call The Big 1070 their flagship.
Badger basketball, football, and men’s hockey will be heard in Milwaukee on 97.3 the Game and the Big 920. Only select women’s basketball games will air in that market.
“Badger sports are part of the fiber of our radio brands in MADISON as the flagship as well as Milwaukee and Eau Claire,” iHeartMedia division president Jeff Tyler said in a press release. “We are honored to be the home and voice for the outstanding student athletes, coaches and fans.”
University of Wisconsin Associate Athletics Director Justin Doherty added that the school appreciates iHeartMedia’s “ongoing dedication to the Badgers.”
