Zach Lowe will remain with ESPN after signing a multiyear extension according to Bobby Burack of The Big Lead.
Earlier this summer, The Big Lead reported Lowe’s contract with ESPN was nearing expiration, but the network planned to retain the NBA writer and content contributor. Lowe was hired by Bill Simmons and ESPN in 2012 to cover the NBA for Grantland. After ESPN decided to end the publication of Grantland in 2015, Lowe is one of the few contributors that still remain with the network along with Bill Barnwell, Jalen Rose and David Jacoby.
According to The Big Lead, Lowe was courted by other media outlets including The Athletic, but ultimately, the NBA analyst will stay at ESPN. In addition to writing for ESPN.com, Lowe’s contributions span multiple platforms as a podcaster and appearing on various TV shows for the network.
