Dan Zampillo is on the move again. After spending more than three years with ESPN LA 710AM, Zampillo is leaving terrestrial radio for a brand new opportunity with Spotify. He’s expected to play a role in helping the brand grow their sports podcasting platform. He’ll remain based in Los Angeles and begin his new assignment on Tuesday November 12th.
In an internal note sent out to 710’s staff, GM Scott McCarthy praised Zampillo’s contributions. He mentioned how the station launched their first local morning show under his watch, and navigated a number of lineup changes which have since made the radio station stronger.
The station hopes to fill Zampillo’s Operations Manager role by the end of the year. Amanda Brown and McCarthy will handle day to day programming issues in the interim. To be considered for ESPN LA’s operations manager opening, send your materials to Scott via email by clicking here.
