Kirkman Broadcasting’s ESPN 98.9 has parted ways with mid day host Jamie Bradford. In addition to hosting the station’s mid-day show, he also hosted the pregame show for the University of South Carolina called Carolina Gameday.
Bradford announced his exit via Twitter. He noted that he has no immediate plans and his family will focus on the holidays for the moment.
A Charleston native, Bradford created a show specifically tailored to his hometown. That included playing the Star Spangled Banner everyday at noon to honor the city’s military community. He was the subject of an interview with BSM’s Tyler McComas just last week.
Kirkman Broadcasting did not announce any immediate plans for filling the noon to 3 pm slot.
Saw this. Jamie had the most entertaining local talk show in Charleston. Learned more from his shows and great guests. Why the change?
