Jorge Sedano is staying with ESPN, continuing their long-term partnership. The versatile TV and radio personality signed a three-year contract extension, keeping him with the Disney owned sports media giant through 2022.
With his new contract, Sedano will continue to be featured as an NBA sideline TV reporter, contributor to The Jump, Around the Horn and SportsCenter, also hosting his weeknight radio show on ESPN Los Angeles.
“It’s just an unbelievable opportunity for me when you think about it. The fact that both teams are great at the exact same time,” Sedano told Michael McCarthy of Front Office Sports. “I do a radio show there locally for ESPN, I do ‘The Jump’ from there, and my involvement in the NBA game broadcasts. All of it could not have come together at a better time.”
Born in New York and raised in Miami, Sedano’s media career launched in South Florida over two decades ago. Among his various gigs have been stops at FOX Sports Radio, 540 WQAM and 790 The Ticket as a lead-in to The Dan Le Batard Show.
In 2013, Sedano joined ESPN as a national radio host and TV contributor, moving to Los Angeles three years later where his career has continued to grow. The 42-year old can be heard weeknights on ESPN Los Angeles, hosting The Sedano Show from 6:30 – 9pm, also contributing to their Lakers and NBA coverage.
