Nashville SC Sticking With The Game2 In MLS Move

Nashville gets an MLS team on February 29. The team will play its games in Nissan Stadium for its first two seasons. Those games and the away games too will be heard on 94.9 the Game2.

The station is a Cromwell property, and serves as a sister station to 102.5 the Game, where the company’s local talent is heard.

This isn’t a new arrangement. Nashville SC was founded in 2017 as part of the United Soccer League. Their matches have aired on 94.9 the Game2 the entire time.

“Nashville is one of the most vibrant sports cities in the U.S. ESPN 94.9 Game 2’s partnership with Nashville SC provides us with yet another opportunity to provide listeners and fans with ongoing coverage of their favorite teams,” Cromwell VP and Market Manager Cromwell Media VP/Market Manager Dennis Gwiazdon said in a press release. “Cromwell Media is proud to support the MLS expansion into Music City and joining forces with Nashville SC further cements our commitment to be Nashville’s Best Sports Talk.”
