Like all sports fans, the people of Chicago are suffering from a lack of live sports. 670 the Score is doing all it can during this time to fill that void by replaying some of the great games in Chicago sports history.
The festivities begin on Thursday the 26th. That night would have been the White Sox home opener. Instead, the Score will re-air Mark Buerhle’s perfect game. The game originally aired on the Score when it was broadcast in July of 2009.
The 2016 Cubs will be a major part of the station’s plan. For 17 consecutive days, 670 the Score will air every game of the team’s playoff run. It begins April 1 with the Cubs’ win over the San Francisco Giants in game 1 of the ALDS and culminates with the game 7 victory over the Cleveland Indians, which made the Cubs World Series champions for the first time in 108 years.
On March 29, 670 the Score will also begin a series of Bears replays. The station will a memorable Bears game for eight consecutive Sundays.
