CBS Sports Radio is ready to debut their new 10pm – 2am ET show. Beginning Monday, March 23, JR Jackson will take over the national timeslot that’s been open since Scott Ferrall left in January.
Entercom’s national network of sports radio stations has used a variety of fill-in hosts since Ferrall’s exit, including Andy Gresh, Robin Lundberg, Alex Reimer, Julie Stewart Binks, Carrington Harrison and more.
Jackson’s background is uniquely impressive, contributing to multiple media platforms over the last decade, but the new CBS Sports Radio host is most well-known for building his own brand, JRSportBrief. His video sports blog has generated over 80 million views and 100,000 subscribers on YouTube.
“THANK YOU to everyone who’s ever watched, listened, agreed, or disagreed with me as I’ve grown JRSportBrief,” Jackson wrote on Instagram. “It has NOT been easy. Keep ahead towards your goals and dreams and make every stumble, impediment, and mistake a stepping stone towards greater heights.”
Jackson joins CBS Sports Radio having already been part of the Entercom family. He hosts weekday mornings from 6 – 10am on V-103 in Atlanta, also contributing to sister station 92.9 The Game. According to Jackson, he’ll host the CBS Sports Radio show from Atlanta, where he’ll continue contributing to V-103 and 92.9 The Game. During his career, the Bronx native has also been heard as a part-time host on New York’s WFAN, among his other gigs.
