Midwest Communications has been forced to make a change in Sioux Falls. KWSN has let Craig Mattick and John Gaskins go due to Covid-19’s effects on the economy and the lack of live sports. A post on the station’s website says “management hopes to bring Craig, John, and the show back once the economy has improved and sports are back.”
Mattick and Gaskins have hosted Sports Talk With Craig & John for the last four years on KWSN. The show has been on the air for the last 19 years at the station. Afternoon drive will be filled by Doug Gottlieb’s FOX Sports Radio show starting on May 11.
The company deserves some applause for its transparency in delivering the bad news. Midwest Communications Operations Manager Tom Gjerdrum has listed his direct line and email address on KWSN’s website and encouraged listeners to let him know how they feel about the developments.
