LeSean McCoy Apologizes For Spoiling Endgame On GMF

LeSean McCoy is going to be remembered by NFL fans for a number of things. He’s been to six Pro Bowls and he rushed for more yards than anyone else in the NFL last decade. Comic book and movie fans know Shady for something else.

Just over a year ago, McCoy was among a group of people that got to see Avengers: Endgame before it opened in theaters. If you’re one of the first people in the world to see a movie as big as Endgame one thing you absolutely should not do is ruin any major plot points. McCoy did just that tweeting about the death of Tony Stark twice in the span of a single minute!

Wednesday morning McCoy was a guest on the NFL Network’s Good Morning Football where host Kyle Brandt asked him what he was thinking in that moment. McCoy quickly called it “the worst decision of my life.”

“We go watch the movie. You know, I’m not really familiar with this. I watched the Marvel movies and cartoons when I was a kid. I’m 31. I don’t watch like I used to,” McCoy said.

He didn’t realize that so many people were so invested in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. McCoy said all he wanted to do was bring some of his son’s reaction to the movie to his fans.

“We play this game where I interview him after everything,” McCoy told GMF and added that his son is a great trash talker. “I just tweeted it. I didn’t know the reaction of the people. If I knew that, I would never have Tweeted that. I didn’t know people got into the cartoons like that, so I apologize. It was terrible.”

He added in the days immediately after he sent the tweet it came up in several interactions with fans.
