Disney is going to milk every last ratings point out of The Last Dance. The documentary series covering Michael Jordan and his championships with the Chicago Bulls has been a ratings hit for ESPN in a time when not much that the network has put on is drawing eyeballs.
The Wrap reports that Disney won’t be done with The Last Dance after the final two episodes air on Sunday night. On Tuesday at 8 pm, First Take host Stephen A. Smith, NBA legend Magic Johnson, and some other “surprise guests” will be part of an after-show airing on ABC.
After the Dance with Stephen A. Smith: A SportsCenter Special is also produced by Smith. The network is so eager to take advantage of excitement created by the ten part docu-series that the special is bumping much of the previously announced ABC lineup for the night.
