Jason Goff Helping Clean Up Businesses In Chicago

As protests continue throughout the country, demanding change and social justice, Chicago sportscaster Jason Goff is pitching in, cleaning the city’s streets, sidewalks and stores.

“I don’t want to be anyone’s hashtag,” Goff said on Monday. “I don’t want you all to marvel at my mom and sister’s strength, I want to live a long full life, just like y’all. You all can help us and it’s not just by saying end racism, that’s not good enough anymore. We need y’all, we need y’all to stomp it out with us.”

Everyone agrees with the concept of equality, but as Goff said, it doesn’t happen “just by saying end racism.” It takes more than white people being in favor of equality to create social justice. An emotional Goff called on everyone to help clean up the city and he called on everyone to listen and stomp out racism.

Business owners can contact Goff to request help cleaning up stores that were damaged during protests and each morning he’ll tweet their meetup location.

Since 2000, the sportscaster has filled various roles for Chicago’s 670 The Score, notably hosting middays with Matt Spiegel and afternoons with Dan Bernstein. He’s also been featured nationally on ESPN Radio and SiriusXM. This past NBA season was Goff’s first as the Bulls pre and postgame host on NBC Sports Chicago.
