Jeff Caves Exits 93.1 The Ticket In Boise

After more than three decades in the market, longtime host of Idaho Sports Talk, Jeff Caves announced he’s leaving 93.1 KTIK The Ticket.

Currently, Caves co-hosts his weekday 3 – 6pm show on The Ticket with Mike Prater. But this Friday, July 17 will be Caves’ last day on-air at The Ticket, culminating a 35-year sports radio career in Idaho. The Ticket is owned by Cumulus, which last week began cutting 3% of their staff because of the global pandemic.

Seeing a local staple like Caves announce his departure from Cumulus and The Ticket less than a week later may seem like odd timing, but the host says the exit was “100%” his decision, and had been in the works for a while. Caves will soon be relocating to Dallas Fort-Worth. His on-air role with The Ticket will be left in Idaho, but Caves will continue his sales contributions for the station.
