Freddie Coleman Signs Extension At ESPN Radio

Freddie Coleman has spent the last 17 years on national network radio at ESPN. Thanks to a new contract, he isn’t going anywhere. The company announced on Tuesday that it signed Coleman to a multi-year contract extension.

Coleman and his radio partner Ian Fitzsimmons will remain in their night time slot when ESPN Radio shuffles its weekday lineup in August. Freddie & Fitzsimmons airs weeknights starting at 9pm on the East Coast.

“Freddie has played an important role in ESPN Radio for almost two decades, continuing to engage fans while consistently evolving the weeknight timeslot,” ESPN executive vice president and executive editor of production, Norby Williamson said in a press release.

That role has varied over the years. Coleman started at ESPN Radio in 2004 as a co-host of GameNight. In 2013 he began hosting The Freddie Coleman Show on weeknights and on Sundays. He has been partnered with Fitzsimmons since 2016.

“I have been blessed beyond compare to have been with ESPN Radio for 16 years and that I will have a chance to add to it humbles me beyond words,” Coleman said. “To continue to keep loving what I do and doing what I love at ESPN Radio is something that I never take for granted.”
