FOX Sports South analyst Jeff Francoeur will miss some Atlanta Braves games in the abbreviated 2020 season. He announced on Twitter that he is in self-quarantine after testing positive for Covid-19.
The team will still have Chip Carey and Tom Glavine in the booth to start the year. Francoeur became the lead TV analyst for the team ahead of last season.
As an organization, the Braves have been his hard by Covid-19. Players Will Smith, Touki Toussaint and Pete Kozma all tested positive for the disease. So did All-Star Freddie Freeman, who admitted to praying for his life after spiking a fever of 104.5. Yasiel Puig tested positive just days after signing with the team.
Francoeur did not give a timeline for his recovery. He added that he will continue to follow the team so that he will be ready to step in and make a difference as soon as he is given the all clear.
