Since exiting NBC Sports Radio and Pro Football Talk Live, producer Rob “Stats” Guerrera has been looking for his next opportunity in the audio space. Rather than broadcasting, that opportunity has come in podcasting.
Guerrera will lead the podcasting strategy for SB Nation’s San Francisco 49ers fan site, Niners Nation. He will host one podcast for the site while overseeing production and development of others.
“Hosting has always been my passion, and my career up until now hasn’t always given me the the chance to do that as much as I’ve wanted over the years,” Guerrera wrote of the new opportunity in a post on Facebook. “Hosting a podcast about the team I love, while still being able to manage others and pass on what I’ve learned throughout my career, is an incredible opportunity. I’m grateful to John Gennaro and the leadership at SB Nation for putting their faith in me.”
