Jason Taylor Joins Miami Dolphins Radio Broadcast

The Miami Dolphins announced the addition of Hall of Famer Jason Taylor to their radio broadcast for the upcoming season. Taylor replaces fellow Hall of Famer and Dolphins Super Bowl winning quarterback Bob Griese in the booth.

No reason was given for Griese’s departure, which was first reported by Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald. The 75-year old, former quarterback has enjoyed a long second career as a broadcaster, including his most recent tenure as a Dolphins radio analyst, a role he’s filled since 2011.

Taylor will join co-analyst Joe Rose, field reporter Kim Bokamper and Dolphins play-by-play voice Jimmy Cefalo on the call. Rose, who played tight end for the Dolphins in the early ‘80s, is also the popular morning host on the team’s flagship radio station 560 WQAM.

Although it’s his first season as a full-time analyst for the Dolphins, 2020 certainly isn’t Taylor’s first experience as a broadcaster. After retiring from the NFL in 2012, Taylor worked for ESPN, NBCSN and later contributed as a Sunday Night Football game analyst for Westwood One. Last year, Taylor worked Dolphins preseason games on the TV side, having also contributed as a radio analyst during the 2016 preseason.

But if he needs any additional radio advice, the Hall of Fame defensive end can always turn to his sister, Joy Taylor who co-hosts The Herd with Colin Cowherd
