FEC Commissioner Tells Joe Madison Voter Fraud ‘Exceedingly Rare’

Federal Election Commissioner, Ellen Weintraub, pushed back against the idea of voter fraud during a special program on SiriusXM’s Urban View channel.

The show, hosted by Joe Madison, was called The Vote Must Go On: In Person or By Mail. During the program Weintraub called voter fraud “exceedingly rare” and said it almost “never happens.”

“It’s a criminal violation and most people don’t want to go to jail,” she said. “Most people do not think it’s worth it to change one vote or several votes. The states and localities that run these elections have a lot of protections in place.”
