President Trump was on Fox Business Network’s “Mornings with Maria,” last week, where he discussed the topic of mail-in ballots.
“There’s thousands of ballots right there, you pick up any paper in the country practically, and they’re cheating all over the place with the ballots, so how is that not a problem? That’s a much bigger problem than China or Russia, if you look at it, it’s a much bigger problem,” Trump told anchor Maria Bartiromo in a phone interview.
A few days have gone by since Trump’s appearance on the program, which has led to a new advertisement by Democratic super PAC starring Wayne Knight, who played the malicious mailman Newman on “Seinfeld.” The video is directed towards the president’s attack of the U.S. Postal Service.
“They had the unmitigated gall to try to slow down the mail,” Knight said, appearing to speak as Newman. “When everyone knows the only person who can slow down the mail is a mailman.”
Knight then chews on a turkey drumstick while discussing how the Trump administration is trying to deter mail-in voting.
“They’ve shortened working hours,” Knight said. “They’ve got missing mailboxes. They’re decommissioning sweet, sweet sorting machines to try to delay voting by mail.”
“And it’s not just your mail-in ballots you gotta worry about,” Knight adds. “Oh, no, no, no. You gotta worry about your grandma’s blood pressure medicine.”
