Simulcasts of Most ESPN Radio Shows Moving To ESPN+

ESPN Radio will only have one show simulcast on traditional, linear television come November 9. On that day, the bulk of the video simulcasts will move exclusively to ESPN+ according to Nathan Ingram of Engadget.com.

Keyshawn, JWill, and Zubin will remain on ESPN2. Everything else that airs during daytime prime hours moves behind the paywall.

The move could have a positive impact on the ESPN+ subscriber base. While Greeny, The Max Kellerman Show, and Chiney & Golic Jr are all relatively new programs, The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz has a dedicated audience that tends to prefer to consume the show digitally. The simulcasts will also be available on demand after they air live.

No word yet on what the ESPNEWS schedule will look like after November 9. Moving the radio simulcasts exclusively to ESPN+ gives that network nine hours of programming to replace every weekday.

  1. Guess ESPN doesn’t need a free platform to publicize its radio shows. They re trying to establish their national lineup on New York radio for years to no avail, and now they throw their simulcast on a pay platform? What’s next? The radio shows themselves?
That’s OK no one is listening!!

  2. ESPN used to be good, now they want to for all these crappy shows. Dan is the only show worth listening to, but I’m not buying!

  3. Wait, what? Wtf is going on? Is TDLS not going to be on “free” TV any longer? By “free” I mean that I pay for a package through DTV that includes his show on ESPNews…if this show is off the air then ESPN can go fuck itself. This is about the biggest who’re move they could make. This could be the straw that breaks the camels back and I go ahead and cut the cord…mother fucker

  4. The Dan Le Batard show is the only reason I watch ESPN each and every day. I have ESPN+ but I only watch soccer on it so I’m done with ESPN. They put on the same shows that no offense are of the hosts opinion, Greenie, Kellerman, and all the rest rest tend to be boring. ESPN really messed up this time.

  5. This is the last straw. I will no longer watch ESPN. THe only reason I kept with ESPN after they treated Golic the way they did is because of Lebatard. Now they are trying to make us pay for Lebatard……Gone ESPN. I will NEVER watch your channel again. I’ll easily find streams for the games, and I’m cutting the cord. Congrats, one less subscriber.
