Conservative activist Candace Owens said that she is suing Facebook because its fact checkers are flagging her posts and ruining the demonetization of her page.
“It is time to fact-check the fact-checkers,” Owens said. “I’m going to put these suckers through discovery and figure out what the relationship is that they have with Facebook.”
The Daily Wire is reporting that Owens has launched a website to help her navigate this legal challenge. “Quite literally a doctor gave his opinion about COVID-19, which I shared, and Facebook issued a strike on my account because they said only information that they agree with about COVID-19 … was acceptable,” said Owens.
Owens tweeted a video claiming that Facebook “fact-checkers are really just activists.” She said she has been working on the lawsuit for months and that Americans are just starting to realize “how censored they are.”
Owens has reportedly retained two lawyers to represent her, including attorney Todd McMurtry who represented Nick Sandmann who sued CNN for false coverage during a March For Life rally in Washington D.C..
“Apparently there is a right way to have an opinion, and a wrong way to have an opinion,” Ownes added.

“A portion” of the funds go to defending her frivolous SLAPP suit. The rest goes in Ms. Owens’ pockets.
