Chicago program director Marcus Brown has been appointed to oversee Salem Media Group’s podcast network; the company announced. Brown currently serves as the PD for AM 560 The Answer and AM 1160 Hope for Your Life.
Brown joined Salem in 2006 and previously served as an executive producer at Cumulus Media owned WLS-AM 890. “Excited to be a part of the launch of Salem Media Group’s new podcast network. It’s been a long time in the making, but it’s finally off the ground,” said Brown via LinkedIn.
Salem’s objective is to monetize content produced by some of its hosts. “Salem’s brand of podcasting will remain consistent with what Salem is best known for — content that approaches the issues through a biblical worldview and a politically conservative lens,” said Salem’s Broadcast Division President Dave Santrella.
The company is partnering with political commentator Dinesh D’Souza. His first podcast “Pardon Me!” will be released today.
Salem is the broadcast radio syndicator of conservative talk shows with hosts like Hugh Hewitt, Mike Gallagher, Dennis Prager, Charlie Kirk, Sebastian Gorka, Larry Elder, Eric Metaxas, and Dan Proft.
