Longtime sportscasters, friends, and colleagues Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson recently announced a partnership with the iHeartPodcast Network to launch a new show.
Calm Down with Erin and Charissa debuted its first episode this week, touting their ability to use podcasting as an open platform. Interviews, candid conversations about life, friendships, sports and more will be featured.
“I couldn’t be more excited to finally share this project with listeners,” Andrews said in the press release. “Most people know Charissa and I as sports analysts and broadcasters but this podcast really shows a different side of us. These are our real conversations about what we find to be most interesting and important today.”
Both hosts have worked with FOX Sports for the better part of the last decade, after long tenures with ESPN. Andrews is featured during the football season on FOX NFL Sunday as a sideline reporter, while Thompson hosts the FS1 Sunday morning NFL pregame show.
“Erin and I have so many interests outside of sports, and—prior to this podcast—we hadn’t really had the opportunity to explore those topics in our professional lives,” Thompson added. “This podcast is an opportunity for us to dive into all of our interests in a genuinely candid and fun way.”
Andrews and Thompson released the first episode of their new venture Wednesday, Feb. 17 featuring Kevin Hart as their guest. Hart joined the show to discuss a variety of topics including sleeping in the nude. Keeping in line with the title, Hart asked people to “calm down” and stop battling others based on having different opinions.
