1080 The Fan Announces New Weekday Lineup

Changes are taking place in Portland. 1080 The Fan has announced a new weekday lineup which will hit the air starting next week.

Dirt and Sprague will become the station’s new morning show, moving up from the noon to 3 slot. The station’s morning show had been Dusty and Cam featuring Dusty Harrah and former NFL tight end Cam Cleeland. Cleeland confirmed on Twitter earlier this month that he is no longer with the station. He has been making guest appearances on Sports Radio 950 KJR in Seattle, where he played his college football.

In the interim, former Oregon State fullback Will Darkins has been serving as Harrah’s co-host.

Next Monday though, Harrah will move into the noon to 3 pm slot. He will be joined on a permanent basis by AJ McCord for a new show. McCord is a sports anchor at Portland’s CBS affiliate KOIN. The new show will be titled AJ and Dusty.

McCord was greeted by a fan on Twitter that wrote he was happy that his daughter would soon get to hear a female voice on The Fan. It was a comment that clearly meant a lot to the new midday host.

The rest of the station’s lineup stays the same including the nationally syndicated The Herd from 9 am until noon and Primetime with Isaac and Suke in afternoon drive.

As for Cleeland, he says that he is focused on “new challenges”. Whether or not that specifically means a role at KJR remains to be seen.
