KLIN program director Bob Shomper has formally announced he plans to retire on April 2. He had been with the NRG Media station the last four years.
Shomper has had stints with radio stations all over the country, including stops at WLS in Chicago and WCCO in Minneapolis.

He’s helped stations win four Marconi Awards for Radio Station of the Year, two Murrow Awards for Best Overall Performance, a national Crystal Award for community and the prestigious Service to America Award.
A memo sent to staff at NRG by General Manager Ami Graham said they were “fortunate and blessed BOB chose to have his last 4 years in radio spent with NRG MEDIA and KLIN.”
