From day 1, Craig Carton has said that a TV simulcast was something he wanted for Carton & Roberts. Today, he got his wish.
WFAN has announced that the its afternoon show will be simulcast on SNY. The regional sports network will carry a two hour block from the five hour show every weekday from 4 until 6 pm.
“Carton & Roberts has quickly connected with audiences by providing a unique daily sports conversation experience,” said Entercom New York Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Chris Oliviero said in a press release. “WFAN has a long and storied history of bringing sports radio to life visually and we’re honored to join with SNY to expand Craig and Evan’s reach onto more screens, more devices and, of course, still in your car.”
Gaining a television simulcast puts Carton & Roberts on equal footing with both their direct competition and their co-workers. ESPN New York’s The Michael Kay Show is televised on the YES Network, while WFAN’s morning show Boomer & Gio, which is televised by CBS Sports Network.
