Did 106.7 The Fan Get Wilkinson’s Washington Football Team Report Before The NFL?

On Friday, 106.7 the Fan reported that an investigation into the culture of the Washington Football Team has ended with the conclusion that Daniel Snyder should be forced to sell the team. By Monday, the station was walking that back.

The NFL commissioned the report from attorney Beth Wilkinson to investigate allegations of sexual harassment from women employed by the organization. The league said that The Fan’s report was not correct and in fact, no one at the league office had seen Wilkinson’s report.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reports that that last comment has raised questions about how the Entercom-owned sports talker knows that Wilkinson recommended.

“We do believe in the authenticity of the documents we reviewed, and that they are from the Wilkinson investigation, but we are unable to confirm that the report was a final draft or that it had been delivered to the League Office. As soon as we are able to report anything further on this, we will let you know — both as to what occurred in our Friday report and regarding the Wilkinson investigation generally,” a statement released by the radio station reads.

Florio reports that the league is questioning whether The Fan received a copy of the report that had been stolen or if Wilkinson herself leaked the findings to the station.
