Longtime co-host of CBS’s daytime panel show “The Talk,” Sharon Osbourne, is under fire over her comments towards her former co-hosts Julie Chen and Sara Gilbert. According to journalist Yashar Ali, Osbourne reportedly called former co-hosts racist and homophobic names.
Ali’s report states that Osbourne would frequently refer to Julie Chen, who is Chinese American, as “wonton” and “slanty eyes.” Meanwhile, Osbourne would allegedly make homophobic remarks towards Sara Gilbert, a former co-host and executive producer. Osbourne would reportedly call Gilbert, who is a lesbian, as “p—- licker” and “fish eater.”
Osbourne’s reported offensive remarks didn’t stop at Chen and Gilbert as she used Italian ethnic slurs towards her other former co-host Leah Remini.
Howard Bragman, Osbourne’s publicist, tried to stop contend the firestorm as he responded to the allegations.
“Sharon is disappointed but unfazed and hardly surprised by the lies, the recasting of history, and the bitterness coming out at this moment. She will survive this, as she always has, and her heart will remain open and good because she refuses to let others take her down.” “The Talk” is currently on hiatus after she and co-host Sheryl Underwood were in a heated exchange over Osbourne’s support for Piers Morgan.
