Fox Business anchor Stuart Varney said President Joe Biden will be fed canned responses via teleprompter during next week’s scheduled press conference.
The Varney and Co. host and contributor Joe Concha surmised that Biden will hand pick reporters to ask questions that will be predetermined.
“I do believe there’ll be a teleprompter which you can just turn on when you need a set response,” Varney said.
“Even with the low expectations going into this for Joe Biden, as it always is with this president as far as speaking outside of a teleprompter, this will not go well if reporters ask solid, tough questions with follow-ups,” Concha added.
The pair wondered whether Biden would rely on staffers to deflect some of the tough questions that he is bound to face.
President Biden has come under fire for not holding regular press conferences, instead relying on Jen Psaki to communicate information to the press during her daily briefings.
Will he know the questions in advance? Will he call on friendly reporters only? What do you think it’s going to look like?” Varney wondered.
