ESPN’s Adam Schefter Pulls April Fools Prank on Mina Kimes With Fake Russell Wilson Trade

April Fools day is one of the worst days to be a sports fan due to various fake insider accounts that will surface to “break trades” that often dupe people into retweeting or quote tweeting the information.

Well, the prank is even more deceiving when an insider partakes in breaking fake trades themselves. ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter decided to dupe fellow NFL Live colleague Mina Kimes, who is known to be an avid Seattle Seahawks fan.

During Thursday’s airing of “Highly Questionable,” Kimes remained glued to her phone following her text conversation with Schefter. The NFL insider tweeted that Kimes wouldn’t be happy, likely referencing the trade rumors that Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has seen himself in all off-season.

Schefter would appear on-air via telephone to announce that the Seahawks were simply getting ready for the NFL draft. For a few minutes, various Seahawks fans were in Kimes’ shoes as they all believed their franchise quarterback was out the door.

Nonetheless, it was a prank, and from now on, even the insiders from various sports can’t be trusted on April Fools day as they could get in on the fun to prank a specific fanbase.
