As first reported by Barrett Sports Media’s own Ryan Glasspiegel, Paul Pierce and ESPN have parted ways after the former NBA champion shared video of himself partying with exotic dancers over the weekend. But Pierce might not be a free agent for long.
Minutes after his exit from ESPN was stated, multiple reports began linking the Boston Celtics legend to Barstool Sports, including a blog post directly from the source, titled “Paul Pierce Is Out At ESPN Which Means It’s Time To Join The Pirate Ship.”
7:09pm Monday evening, Glasspiegel broke news of Pierce and ESPN parting ways. By 7:14pm Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy was already recruiting Pierce on Twitter.
With Pierce being a former NBA champion on the Celtics and Barstool Sports having its roots in Boston, the pair already has common ground. Mickey Mouse might not approve of a colleague intermingling with exotic dancers and flaunting the escapade on social media, but Barstool has been more forgiving than Disney.
