Fox News is adding one more personality to its long list of talent competing for a host position on the network’s 7 pm program, Fox News Primetime. Ben Domenech will get a chance to host the show the week of April 19.
The network has been rotating Trey Gowdy, Brian Kilmeade, Maria Bartiromo, Mark Steyn, Rachel Campos-Duffy, Lawrence Jones, and Katie Pavlich. Commentator and talk radio host Lawrence Jones will return for his second run next week.
Fox News signed Ben Domenech, The Federalist publisher and co-founder, to a contributor deal in February, on which he also hosts a weekly podcast.
Trey Gowdy recorded the first (3/8: 2,057,000) and second (2/1: 1,988,000) highest rated shows on Primetime.
Outkick reports that it is unclear whether more personalities will join the rotation before a permanent host is named. The report states that Pete Hegseth and Will Cain are two personalities that will likely break out in a solo, weekday format.
FOX News Channel completed the most recent full month of the first quarter of 2021 as the most-watched cable news network, sweeping the competition in total day and primetime total viewers and in the key 25-54 demographic and reclaiming its lead in all categories, according to Nielsen Media Research.
