Fox Corporation’s CEO says viewers who favor neither political party or may lean a bit left are helping the viewership numbers of Fox News Channel.
Lachlan Murdoch told attendees at the MoffettNathanson Media and Communications Summit that ratings growth is coming from those who label themselves as “independents”.

He also stated that the “center-right” lean of the network, from his viewpoint, is where it needs to be to capture additional viewers consistently.
Murdoch defended the channel’s usage of opinion over hard news because of cost, adding it’s cheaper for production purposes.
