Bongino Show Debuts Monday, Interview With Trump Highlights

The long-awaited Dan Bongino radio show debuts on more than 100 affiliates across the country on Monday. While the former Secret Service agent turned political commentator is not officially replacing the late Rush Limbaugh, many stations are treating the move as such.

In Washington D.C., 105.9 FM WMAL is opting to dump the Limbaugh show in favor of airing the new Bongino program. The station will also debut in Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas, San Francisco, Seattle, and Detroit.

Bongino will most certainly make a splash with his first-ever guest in former President Donald Trump. The interview is scheduled to take place in the second hour of the program.

Limbaugh’s show is syndicated to more than 600 markets through Premiere Networks, which has not announced future plans. Since the star’s death, the show has featured guest hosts and old tapes of Limbaugh.

“Dan has been on a meteoric rise since his podcast launched in 2019, and we look forward to watching his star continue to rise,” said Suzanne Grimes, Westwood One president.

The Dan Bongino Show will air from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern the same time slot Limbaugh occupied before his death.

“I’m excited to embrace the immense power of radio to connect with my listeners live for three hours every day,” said Bongino. “This is an incredible privilege, and I pledge to honor the trailblazing work of those who came before me.”

  1. So…..Dan Bongino Show is only available in markets like New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Detroit,  Los Angeles, Washington D.C. I called the GM of our Cumulus/Westwood One station and he said he wanted to carry it, but they won’t let him. Please contact: Cumulus Media, Mary Berner, CEO, 3280 Peachtree Road Northwest,  Suite 2200, Atlanta, GA 30305, (404)949-0700 http://www.cumulusmedia.com – AND – Westwood One Media, Suzanne Grimes, CEO, 40 West 57th Street, 5th Floor, New York, New York 10019, (212) 641-2000, http://www.westwoodone.com and tell them this is not acceptable.

  2. We want to listen to Bongino live in Eastern Washington. We are a red side of the state

  3. Well that helps explain why I tuned in to the Rush program heard locally on the Fox station in Minneapolis. Same station that Rush always aired before. After Rush’s passing, it was announced that Dan would take over. So far so good. Until Dan did, Rush’s program continued to air on Fox network. HOWEVER, when I tuned in to hear the program (on Fox) with Dan’s first day, it wasn’t Dan but Jason Lewis ‘filling in’ with “Rush’s” music that was still being played. It sounded like it was a current program on Rush’s former network. WTH???? So from what I understand you said, Rush’s program was literally transferred to Westwood One while Rush’s “old” program still airs on Fox. HUH????! So now we have TWO Rush programs (so to speak)? Talk about ludicrous, confusing and just plain asinine. If you want to lose listeners, that’s the way to do it.

  4. Why are only liberal cities carrying his show? Makes no sense which makes me think it won’t fly. Do they know what they’re doing?
