WTOP Announces Launch of Charity Campaign

Hubbard Broadcasting’s Washington, D.C. all-news outlet WTOP Monday announced the beginning of a charity campaign in conjunction with online platform 4Giving.

“WTOP Live Local Campaign” launched as a way for the station to call attention to charity partnerships and make it easier for listeners to direct their donations to them. The station started the campaign by donating $103.50 to each of the charity partners featured at wtop.com/wtoplivelocal.

“Our hope is that our community will utilize the WTOP Live Local campaign as their local charity marketplace,” said WTOP Director of News & Programming, Julia Ziegler. “Your donations help give back to trusted local charity partners whose work supports and empowers the diverse community in which we live, making a difference in the lives of our neighbors (and yours).”

“4giving is proud to partner with WTOP to build a better, stronger community,” said Joe Sriver, CEO at 4giving. “Our mission is to foster new, immediate and impactful relationships between charitable causes, the community and sponsors, like WTOP.
