Members of the Biden administration will be making an appearance on Monday’s edition “Live with Kelly and Ryan” as First lady Jill Biden and Dr. Anthony Fauci, President Biden’s chief medical adviser, join the show for a joint interview, the show announced.
The two will sit down with Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest to discuss the latest attempts to combat COVID-19, share an update on the country’s advancement against the pandemic, and discuss the widening range of vaccination efforts in the United States.
Last month, the first lady praised Fauci, calling him an “American hero,” with the two traveling to local children’s vaccination clinics to spotlight COVID-19 shots for young Americans.
Monday’s interview arrives as the Biden administration ramps up its attempts to vaccinate the rest of eligible Americans who have yet to get vaccinated.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently stated that half of all U.S. adults are completely vaccinated against the virus. Meanwhile, the White House senior COVID-19 adviser Andy Slavitt declared the feat “a major milestone in our country’s vaccination effort.”
